Sauna sessions start with the head...

Welcome to my studio
No machines here — just hands, water, soap and merino wool. Watch a handful of fleece become a cat hat.
01/06 Combing and Laying
I start by choosing the finest merino wool sliver. Then I manually lay intricate, thin layers at the right angle. This is where the base and the unique design are born.
02/06 Wet Felting
Water and natural hot soap come into play. The soaked wool is slowly massaged. By the power of my hands, I make the fibers start to intertwine naturally, creating an inseparable and thick material.
03/06 Fulling — putting the felt through its paces
I roll the felt, throw it against the table and knead it hundreds of times. The wool shrinks and thickens until it is dense and strong — ready for sauna heat.
04/06 Sculpting
No machines or stiff presses. When the felt becomes sufficiently dense, I stretch it over a wooden mold and sculpt the final, desired shape with my hands, refining every edge.
05/06 Drying
The formed hat must now rest. The drying process takes place slowly, at a constant room temperature. This stage requires patience for the wool to 'remember' its given shape.
06/06 Details
At the very end, when the hat is perfectly dry, I add details: personalized embroidery or decorative finishes. This is when the project gains its final, unique character.
Finished. One of a kind.
Yours can be one of a kind too — let’s design it together.
